Wedding Hashtag Generator

Your names in, wedding hashtags out — the classic patterns, ready to copy.

What makes a good wedding hashtag

Three things: it's easy to spell after two drinks, it's short enough to type on a phone, and nobody else's wedding is already using it. CamelCase (capitalizing each word, like #TheRiveras) doesn't change how the hashtag works, but it makes it dramatically easier to read on signs and easier for guests to copy without typos.

Before you print it on anything, search the hashtag on Instagram and TikTok. If another couple got there first, the fixes are cheap: add your wedding year, your city, or switch to a different pattern from the list.

Getting guests to actually use it

A hashtag only collects photos if people see it: put it on the welcome sign, the bar menu, and every table — not just the invitation people left at home. The couples who get the most photos back also have the officiant or DJ announce it once. Skip punctuation entirely; hashtags break at apostrophes and hyphens, which is why the generator strips them from names like O'Brien automatically.
